For those who wear spectacles, one common problem that you often face is when your spectacles keep fogging up. Be it when you eat hot food or when you come out of a cold room. It’s frustrating right? Well, scientists have developed a new pair of glasses that can help you with that.
This is a new pair of glasses that has an ultrathin gold-based coating that stops condensation forming on eyewear. This ultra-thin gold based transparent layer is able to convert sunlight into heat so it can warm the surface of the glass, preventing condensation from forming. Scientists hope that this new tech can also be used on car windscreens and since it’s ultrathin, it’s easy to be installed.
While this tech is near to completion, scientists are still working on the glasses to make it sustainable and cheaper to be commercially released.
