LA-based modelling agency, Photogenics has announced the launch of a new Avatar division where they allow brands to further explore the digital world while enabling models to monetize their careers beyond the physical. Photogenics will offer up avant-garde, photorealistic avatars created by scanning a model’s face using a camera and a proprietary stitching algorithm. And these avatar models created can be used for animation, digital art, or to display clothes, offering an alternative form of presentation for brands and retailers alike.
In that way, models will be able to not only exist and get recognition in the physical world but also develop their presence in the digital world.
