Whenever you get little cuts on your fingers or parts of your body, we would seal it with a band-aid. And slowly, the band-aid will protect the wound for infections and also to help with the healing process.

Now, scientists have developed a smart bandage that uses electrical stimulation and biosensors to speed up the wound-healing process. This bandage is composed of wireless circuitry and temperature sensors that can monitor the progression of wound healing. It will be able to promote faster closure of wounds, increase new blood flow to injured tissue and enhance skin recovery by significantly reducing scar formation.

Currently, the scientists are trying to reduce the costs and solving long term data storage issues on the smart bandage.
