Not sure if this ever happens to you gamers but have you ever played a game against your friends but you ended up giving info about your team to your friend on the opposite team? Well, apparently, that’s a thing and Electronic Arts is doing something about this.
In the latest report, EA has patented a new system named Detecting Collusion in Online Games which is meant to catch players on opposing teams who unfairly partner up before they can ruin the game for others.
The system will sift through all their players from sharing a guild in another EA game, exchanged chat messages in the past to if you know each other on social media accounts you’ve linked to the game.
And based on these data collected, they will determine if you and your friends are violating in-game rules. And the punishment is the usual which are removed from the match, disqualified from rewards, suspended, banned and so on.
Kudos to EA for taking action in unfair gameplay!
