A new episode of black Mirror in real life is happening again. We’ve only seen technopath or using their brains to control electronic gadgets in superhero movies or sci-fi movies but what if that day is not much farther?
A new computer-brain implant named Synchron Switch has been created by New York based company Synchron. This implant allows users to send messages from the brain to your smartphones. The device can only work when sensors are inserted into the top of the brain via a blood vessel and has to be done via minimally invasive procedure.
The aim of this technology is to help those that have movement disability which makes it difficult to use their hands or fingers. And this technology will help them to continue to access electronic devices with ease.
Currently, this new tech is in a very early stage of testing period and will still require years of intensive research and development before it can be commercialised.
