Well, according to research by The Arctic University of Norway, going for a swim in cold water could help you lose weight and protect against diabetes. This research claims that swimming in cold water can cut bad body fat and protect against insulin resistance. Other than weight loss, swimming in ice cold water is said to boost your overall mood as well. The research also stated that you would have to swim in water with 20 degree celsius or lower temperatures. 

Swimming in sub-zero temperatures has become increasingly popular in recent years thanks to the rise of wellness gurus and influencers who talk about the benefits of doing it.
